Students were taking a fill in the blank test regarding Dramatic Structure leading up to a section on plays and other dramatic works. There were also a few questions about some grammar they had recently learned. They were given the notes days before, and the questions were actually taken verbatim from these notes. Most of the questions had a few blanks that the students had to fill in. The following few gems came from TWO students (I’ll spread them over several posts). Most of the rest of my students did fairly well, seeing as they had the answers in their notebooks. The bolded portions are the blanks that were filled in by the students.
1. Some numbers should not be written in simple numerals. For example, you should always spell out words.
2. When expressing decades in a formal paragraph, you should write them in cursive.
